The complete escrow flow — wallet creation, payment lock, AI audit, and the optional challenge window — costs nothing and uses test XRP with no real-world value. A working end-to-end payment in three steps.
Testnet XRP has no monetary value. AI audits are capped at 5 per buyer per day on testnet. Explorer links point to testnet.xrpl.org. Testnet vault IDs (TN-) only work on testnet — mainnet and testnet wallets are fully separate.
Not a developer? Try it in your browser — no code, no wallet, just click through the full flow with test money.
try_testnet_demo()
Returns escrow_id, verdict, release_tx_hash and testnet explorer links. Takes ~30 s.
create_testnet_wallet() # call twice: one for buyer, one for worker
Returns: address, seed, balance_xrp. Keep the seed — you’ll need it to sign the EscrowCreate.

wallet = Wallet.from_seed("<buyer seed>")
blob = sign(EscrowCreate.from_xrpl(tx_dict), wallet).blob()
submit_escrow_transaction(escrow_id="TN-xxxx", tx_blob=blob)
Returns status: "confirmed" once the transaction validates on-ledger.
evaluate_escrow_work(
escrow_id="TN-xxxx",
work="HELLO AGENT",
evaluate_token="<token from step 2>"
)
On FAIL, read criteria_failed for actionable feedback and resubmit. Workers get 3 attempts by default.

Add release_mode and cancel_after_hrs to step 2. After a PASS the payment is held for the window duration, giving the buyer time to challenge for a Gemini Pro re-review — at no cost on testnet.
hire_and_pay(
task="…",
buyer_address="<buyer testnet address>",
amount_xrp=1,
worker_address="<worker testnet address>",
network="testnet",
release_mode="challenge_window_hrs:1",
cancel_after_hrs=4
)
# Note: buyer_email is a REST-only field (pass to POST /escrow/generate directly)
After a PASS, the buyer receives a private challenge link by email. The window can be 1–24 hours; cancel_after_hrs must be at least N+1. How challenges work →
Remove network='testnet' (or set network='mainnet') and use a real XRPL wallet funded with real XRP.
The first 3 escrows are free for wallets created with create_agent_wallet() or wallets with a trust score ≥ 25 registered via register_wallet_free_tier(). After that, the standard $0.10 audit fee applies.
Testnet vault IDs (TN-) only work on testnet. Mainnet and testnet wallets are fully separate — you cannot mix them.
No wallet required. try_testnet_demo() creates two throwaway wallets, posts a task, locks payment, runs the AI audit, and returns the full result — all test XRP, zero cost.
try_testnet_demo()
Takes ~30 seconds. Returns escrow_id, verdict, release_tx_hash and explorer links for both the escrow and the release.
